Excessive brightener
Acid copper plating brightener is an important component of the plating solution that affects the appearance quality of the acid copper coating. Some electroplating factories, in an attempt to increase the lightening speed and achieve good coating brightness, will blindly add excessive brightener during production. However, the result is counterproductive. The reason for this is that once the brightener is in excess, it is prone to causing two problems: one is the accumulation of decomposition products; the other is the imbalance of the brightener ratio, which will lead to the formation of spots on the coating.
Therefore, the principle of "frequent application with small amounts" must be adhered to, so as to ensure that the coating quality is up to standard.
Adding too much brightener at one time
When adding the copper sulfate brightener, if it is not diluted, not measured, and just added randomly based on intuition, then the coating will develop the defect of pitting.
In this situation, the electroplating factory can dilute 30% hydrogen peroxide by more than 10 times. Under continuous stirring conditions, add it slowly at a ratio of 1 milliliter per liter. After adding all of it, it is necessary to stir for more than 10 minutes. This way, the part of the brightener can be oxidized and damaged.
