Its success or failure will directly affect the quality of the electroplated layer. Therefore, before using the steel electrolytic degreasing powder, we need to understand the causes and solutions of some common faults.

The reason for the appearance of red rust on steel parts after electrolytic degreasing

This phenomenon, after analysis, is caused by the fact that the acid that seeped into this area during the acid washing process was not thoroughly rinsed away, and at the same time, the electrolytic degreasing process directly entered the anodic degreasing process.

To avoid the aforementioned situation, the electroplating factory can first immerse these acid-washed workpieces in hot water to facilitate the release of the acid from the narrow grooves. At the same time, they can improve the electrode cleaning process and carry out the cleaning in accordance with the standard process of cathode first and then anode. After such adjustments and changes, the problem can be completely resolved.

After the oil removal process, the coating on the inner corners of some workpieces tends to flake off.

An electroplating factory once encountered this kind of malfunction. After multiple investigations, it still couldn't be resolved. On the site, it could be seen that the hanging corners of the cleaning parts were all facing downwards, and the gas could not be discharged. Therefore, the surface of the workpieces that had not undergone electrode cleaning must have a weakly adhered coating.

Solution: Adjust the hanging angle to allow the hydrogen or oxygen generated during the electrolytic degreasing process to escape freely.
