During the production process of using the phosphorus electroless nickel plating solution, some customers have reported that the walls and bottoms of the chemical nickel plating tank are prone to depositing a layer of chemical nickel, which affects product quality and the service life of the plating solution. So, how can we avoid the deposition of chemical nickel on the groove walls and bottom of the coating during the production process?
Bigely Technology has conducted the following analysis based on on-site experience and product characteristics, mainly including the following three points:
1.Control the temperature of the plating tank well to avoid local overheating. During the production process, the temperature near the heating rod will be relatively high. Neglecting stirring can cause the temperature of the plating solution to be too high locally, which can easily cause the plating solution to lose control and deposit chemical nickel on the tank wall or bottom. So during production, the plating solution should be stirred multiple times to ensure consistent temperature.
2.Cover the chemical nickel plating solution with a lid when stopping production to prevent dust or solid particles from falling into the plating solution from the air. Because these dust or solid particles will initiate the natural decomposition of the plating solution, causing the plating solution to precipitate into sponge like nickel particles. During production, the plating solution should be circulated and filtered, and the plating solution should be taken out regularly. The plating tank should be soaked in 1:1 nitric acid to remove sediment on the tank wall and ensure the cleanliness of the plating solution.
3.During the production process, the plating tank used may have damaged lining, exposing the base metal and causing chemical nickel deposition on the metal. During production, the plating tank should be inspected. If the plating lining is damaged, the plating should be replaced in a timely manner to reduce the loss of nickel salts and effectively reduce production costs.
So, when using the medium phosphorus electroless nickel plating solution for production, we can effectively avoid the deposition of chemical nickel on the groove wall or bottom of the chemical nickel plating tank, which can ensure the quality of the product, reduce the failure rate, and extend the service life of the plating solution, effectively saving production costs.
