Firstly, when the area of the anode is smaller than that of the cathode, a series of problems are likely to occur: if the current density of the anode is too high, it will rapidly cause corrosion and reduce the deposition speed of the chromium coating; when the area of the anode is too small, the trivalent chromium in the chromium plating solution is prone to be excessive, which will affect the luster of the chromium coating; what's more difficult is that the surface of the chromium coating obtained after internal hole plating is very rough. After grinding processing, fine pits and peeling phenomena will form, which will affect the quality of the chromium coating.
During the application of chrome plating additives, if one wants to obtain a chrome coating with uniform luster, then it is necessary to increase the anode area, perform fine polishing on the inner holes, and make the plating solution flow in a circular manner. Only in this way can a uniform, lustrous and particle-free chrome coating be obtained, and the deposition speed can also be improved.
