1. In chromium plating solution, the allowable concentration of iron ions is very limited and cannot exceed 8g/L. When the iron impurity content in the plating solution is relatively high, the conductivity of the plating solution decreases, the current becomes unstable, and the bright range will significantly shrink. At this time, a rough, coarse-crystallized, dull and brittle chromium coating will be obtained.
2. Excessive accumulation of copper, zinc and lead impurities in the chromium plating solution will significantly reduce the covering ability. Generally, the content of zinc and lead impurities should not exceed 3g/L, and the content of copper impurities should not exceed 5g/L.
