① The pre-treatment process for potassium chloride galvanizing must be extremely clean to ensure good adhesion. The raw materials used in the plating solution must meet the quality requirements. If the coating appears dark or black, it is mostly due to the poor quality of the raw materials. We should promptly handle it based on the analysis results.
② It is necessary to constantly monitor the changes in the pH value of the plating solution and adjust it promptly to the required range as per the process specifications. During the production process, there is a gradual upward trend in the pH value.
③ The fogging of the coating is mainly caused by impurities (such as lead and copper, etc.). It can be solved by using a small current electrolysis or by treating with zinc powder and then filtering; iron is the most likely to accumulate in the plating solution. It should be treated with hydrogen peroxide regularly to oxidize the divalent iron into trivalent iron, forming iron hydroxide precipitation, which can then be filtered out.
④ Precisely control the addition amount of potassium chloride zinc plating brightener. If the amount of the brightener is excessive, it may lead to poor adhesion of the coating, blistering and increased brittleness; if the content of the brightener is too low, the coating will have poor luster, and the coating in the low current density area will appear dark.
