Recently, many plating factories have sent us their potions for proofing and analyzing. When using acid copper brightener for Hull tank test, we found that there are two matters that will have an impact on the proofing results, so we decided to write an article to share this knowledge with our readers and hope that it will help them.
Selection of power supply
①Hull tank power supply equipment, must have both current and voltage display. When the current is the same, the lower the voltage, the higher the conductivity of the plating solution. For the plating solution with acid copper brightener, 2A stirring plating, the normal test voltage should be 3.0~3.2V (related to the diameter of the external circuit used).
If the test voltage is higher than 3.5V, there must be less sulfuric acid; if it is lower than 3.0V, there must be more sulfuric acid. Through the voltage data, we can roughly determine the amount of sulfuric acid.
②It is recommended to have a time preset timer with an audible alarm, which frees up more energy to do other things. On the other hand, there will always be times when you are not sure of the time, which will affect the reproducibility of the test.
