When an electroplating factory uses acid copper brighteners, how should the consumption of each agent be controlled to ensure the quality of the plated layer is up to standard?
When the acid copper brightener is properly proportioned, insufficient addition will compromise the brightness and leveling properties of the plating layer. Of course, more brightener isn't always better. Production experience shows that when brightener is excessive, distinct boundaries between fully bright and semi-bright areas appear in low-current zones. This causes mottling on the plated surface. Adding more brightener in such cases won't help and may even worsen the problem. When a plating plant finds that increasing brightener yields diminishing brightness, it should consider whether the dosage is excessive.
From this, it can be seen that if the supplementation is improper, it will not only lead to rework but also require a significant amount of time and effort to adjust the components of the plating solution.
