In the production process of using barrel plating nickel brighteners, it is sometimes found that the plating solution is consumed relatively quickly, and the usage of raw materials and brighteners is also relatively large. What is the reason for this?

1. The plating solution was at a high temperature and evaporated naturally without water being added in time. During the process of barrel nickel plating, the temperature is controlled at 50 to 60 degrees Celsius, and the plating solution will naturally evaporate, causing the liquid level to drop. At this point, the raw materials lost by the plating solution are relatively few. After timely replenishment of water, production can continue.

2. The pull-out loss of the drum. The carousel loss of the plating solution in barrel plating is greater than that in rack plating, especially for blind hole parts and box-shaped small parts in barrel plating. When the drum is taken out of the plating bath, it should be left idle for a period of time. During the idle stop, for those with the motor and the reducer fixed together, it should be turned a few more times. In this way, on average, 500 to 1200ml of plating solution can be collected in each drum's workpiece. In addition, a recovery tank can be set up outside the barrel plating tank, which can not only collect the plating solution carried out by the barrel but also replenish the natural loss of the plating solution. Such recovery and utilization can effectively save costs.
