Electroless copper plating is mainly used to form a conductive layer on non-metallic surfaces, and thus is widely applied in both printed circuit board electroplating and plastic electroplating. Compared with nickel, the standard electrode potential of copper is relatively positive (0.34V), so it is easier to be reduced and precipitated from the plating solution. However, precisely because of this, the stability of the plating solution is also poorer, and it is prone to self-decomposition and failure. To solve this problem, we can use Bigely electroless copper plating solution. It is a new product developed by an engineering team over several years. The bath solution has good stability, and the coating is fine, uniform and smooth.
During use, air stirring can be adopted to enhance the stability of the electroless copper plating solution and oxidize the monovalent copper generated by side reactions to divalent copper, thereby preventing self-decomposition caused by the formation of copper powder due to disproportionation reactions.
If the bath solution is not operated for a long time, cool it down to room temperature. It is recommended to regularly filter the bath solution into a clean tank using a 1-micron PP filter element. When storing, it needs to be stirred with appropriate and clean air.
