1. Electroless nickel is that the lower the phosphorus content, the higher the hardness, so that the medium phosphorus chemical nickel is better than the high phosphorus chemical nickel.The corrosion resistance is that high phosphorus chemical nickel is better than medium phosphorus chemical nickel.If you want to have excellent corrosion resistance and hardness at the same time, you can choose medium phosphorus chemical nickel. After heat treatment, the hardness of medium phosphorus chemical nickel is not much different from that of high phosphorus chemical nickel.
2. The pretreatment of chemical nickel will affect the corrosion resistance of the coating. The surface of the workpiece should be cleaned before the pretreatment, so that the obtained chemical nickel layer has excellent corrosion resistance.
3. The maintenance of the pH value and temperature of the chemical nickel solution is very important. In the operation process, it must be strictly controlled according to the instructions, and the pollution of impurities can be avoided to ensure the good performance of the chemical nickel layer.
4. The life of iron material using chemical nickel potion is more than 8 cycles, while the performance of aluminum material will decrease after 6 cycles.Because the electroless nickel plating solution will produce phosphite after the reaction, when the phosphite content in the plating solution is too high, the performance of the electroless nickel layer will be significantly reduced, and the plating solution should be replaced in time.
Therefore, in order to obtain an electroless nickel layer with high hardness and high corrosion resistance, medium phosphorus electroless nickel plating solution (such as Ni-809 of Bigolly) can be selected.Careful maintenance and management during use can effectively stabilize the performance of the electroless nickel layer.
