Many customers encounter this problem during the production process of galvanized color passivation agents. The passivation film color of the workpiece is always not red or not red enough, which cannot meet the customer's appearance requirements for the workpiece. So how can we make the passivation film on the workpiece a little red?

Based on on-site experience and the characteristics of the zinc plated trivalent chromium color passivation agent BZ-207, Bigley Technology has analyzed the passivation film of the workpiece. By adjusting the operating parameters, the passivation film of the workpiece can achieve different colors such as light yellow, purple red, yellow green, and deep yellow. When the appearance color of the passivation film on the workpiece after passivation is not red enough, the following parameters can be adjusted:

1. Passivation solution concentration: Generally, during barrel plating production, the concentration of BZ-207A is controlled at around 120ml/L. At this time, an appropriate addition of 5ml/L of BZ-207B concentration can make the appearance of the passivation film on the workpiece turn slightly red.

2. Bath temperature. The use of BZ-207 color zinc working solution can increase the temperature appropriately within the range of 20-35 ℃, which can make the appearance color of the passivation film of the workpiece turn slightly red.

3. The pH value of the plating solution. Using BZ-207 colored zinc working solution, the pH value can be adjusted appropriately within the range of 1.8-2.5, which can make the appearance color of the passivation film of the workpiece turn slightly red.

4. Passivation time. Using BZ-207 colored zinc working solution, the passivation time of the workpiece can be appropriately extended within the range of 90 to 120 seconds, which can make the color and appearance of the passivation film of the workpiece turn slightly red.

So, when we use this zinc plated trivalent chromium color passivation agent BZ-207, by adjusting these four parameters, we can make the color appearance of the passivation film on the workpiece become a little red, thus meeting the customer's appearance requirements for the workpiece.
